Mid Summer Cruise 2025

for organising the Mid Summer Cruise this year

The Mid Summer Cruise is a combination of sailing skills and social skills all combining to create a great event. It was truly Mid Summer as it was the night of the solstice when the boats started to arrive at the pontoons at Lochgoilhead. It was a beautiful night with not a breath of wind and the sea state was a glass millpond. Club members chatted on the pontoons and then got ready for the disco social evening that night at the Lochgoilhead Village Hall. A custom sound track for the disco had been created by asking each member to pick two songs they would like to dance to, one from the 70s and one from the 80s. A brilliant disco with 70s/80s dressing up and great dancing went on into the night. There was also a raffle and prizes for the kids! The buffet was themed on 70s classics like “chicken in a basket, Black Forest Gateau which went down a treat with all members. All in all a fabulous Mid Summer Cruise!
